OpenSlice is an open source, service-based Operations Support System (OSS) prototype for delivering Network Slice as a Service (NSaaS) and more widely, Network as a Service (NaaS) following specifications from main Standards Development Organizations (SDOs), including ETSI<\/a><\/em>, TM Forum<\/a><\/em>, GSMA<\/a><\/em>, and 3GPP<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

In July 2025, ETSI Software Development Group OpenSlice (SDG OSL)<\/a> announced the 2025Q2 release of OpenSlice!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This new version introduces major improvements in user experience, observability, and standard compliance. It also expands testbed capabilities with 3GPP CAPIF integration and steps into the AI era with an experimental conversational management feature powered by the Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server.<\/p>\n

These updates reinforce OpenSlice\u2019s role as a pioneering open-source platform for network orchestration and automation, supporting the industry\u2019s transition toward more secure, intelligent, and user-centric telecom operations.<\/p>\n

Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server<\/strong><\/p>\n
