K3Y Ltd proudly participated in the Kick-off Meeting of the SEQURED European Defence Fund (EDF) Action Project, held in Athens, Greece, on May 19\u201320, 2025. The two-day event, organized by project coordinator UBITECH<\/strong><\/a>, brought together leading partners from across Europe to launch this groundbreaking initiative.<\/p>\n

The meeting marked a significant milestone and an enthusiastic start to our shared mission of strengthening Europe\u2019s technological sovereignty and enhancing the resilience of critical defence communication networks against emerging cyber and quantum threats.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

SEQURED aims to fortify, future-proof, and enhance the resilience of defence systems and communication infrastructures against the unprecedented risks posed by quantum computing attacks. Its mission is to design and deliver a quantum-resistant cryptographic suite for secure data sharing, trusted processing, and reliable storage. This suite will be both resilient to quantum advancements and practical for integration into legacy defence systems, paving the way for a secure and seamless transition to the post-quantum era. To achieve this, SEQURED will implement quantum-resistant cryptographic algorithms and protocols, including Kyber, Dilithium, FALCON, and SPHINCS+, tailored to the strict timing and security requirements of the defence sector.<\/p>\n

The kick-off meeting provided a valuable opportunity to define project goals and scope, establish clear partner responsibilities, align on timelines and deliverables, and discuss technical priorities and potential risks. This collaborative start ensured a common understanding and strong commitment from all partners toward achieving SEQURED\u2019s ambitious objectives.<\/p>\n

K3Y Ltd, represented by our colleagues Thomas Boufikos<\/em><\/strong><\/a> and Ioannis Boukas<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, presented an initial approach on demonstrator-specific requirements analysis, integration design and testing plan in the context of T10.1. Furthermore, a discussion around Quantum-Resistant communication channels between UAVs and a base station took place, as part of SEQURED's Use-Case 3, which is closely related to the need of establishing PQC-enabled trusted paths for both quantum and legacy nodes.<\/p>\n
