The successful candidate will co-supervise the company\u2019s R&amp;D unit in the Business Development &amp; Innovation Department in Thessaloniki, Greece, providing strategic leadership for research, development and innovation programs, while ensuring the successful delivery of EU-funded Research &amp; Innovation projects. The successful candidate will perform financial and implementation supervision &amp; delivery, including budget and expenses monitoring (plus timesheets and personnel working hours supervision), while managing the R&amp;D team in the Greek R&amp;D branch towards successful project implementation according to the EU funding rules. To this end, the successful candidate will lead and participate in the project meetings (plenary meetings, conferences, workshops, pilot meetings, demonstration meetings, EU meetings etc), while designing and applying the company R&amp;D strategy in internal and external decision process meetings by leading and planning important tasks like budget management, flawless project development and implementation and R&amp;D outputs market exploitation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<p>- <span data-teams=\"true\">Co-lead and co-supervise the Greek R&amp;D branch operations in Business Development &amp; Innovation Department in Thessaloniki, Greece.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span data-teams=\"true\">Define, develop, and implement comprehensive R&amp;D strategies aligned with corporate objectives and emerging market opportunities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span data-teams=\"true\">Monitor project expenditures, timesheets, personnel working hours and cost types in full compliance with EU funding regulations, while preparing and successfully submit the periodic report\/financial reports\/cost claims through the EU-funded portals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span data-teams=\"true\">Track and monitor the project implementation tasks and progress towards succesfull objectives and outputs delivery.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span data-teams=\"true\">Apply K3Y's R&amp;D direction settings, while ensuring strategic alignment and resource optimization.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span data-teams=\"true\">Manage and co-supervise team activities, representing the company at project meetings (plenary meetings, conferences, workshops, pilot meetings, demonstration meetings, EU meetings etc).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span data-teams=\"true\">Promote a strong culture of innovation giving emphasis in the transition of innovative R&amp;D outputs and solutions to the real market.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span data-teams=\"true\">Support company's intellectual property and patent filing process.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span data-teams=\"true\">Identify project risks and deviations, implementing timely mitigation measures.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span data-teams=\"true\">Ensure full compliance with EU regulations and uphold high quality standards across all research and innovation activities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span data-teams=\"true\">Mentor and develop research staff, supporting talent growth, succession planning, and effective knowledge management.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span data-teams=\"true\">Establish, develop, and maintain strategic partnerships with academic institutions, industry stakeholders, and funding bodies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>- <span data-teams=\"true\">Master\u2019s degree or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in computer science, engineering, or related technical field.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span data-teams=\"true\">Minimum 2 years of experience in EU-funded R&amp;D projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span data-teams=\"true\">Demonstrated experience in preparing and submitting periodic reports.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span data-teams=\"true\">Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills in English.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span data-teams=\"true\">Ability to work effectively in international, multicultural environments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span data-teams=\"true\">Team collaboration and excellent organisation skills.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span data-teams=\"true\">Ability to travel frequently abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span data-teams=\"true\">Ability to understand, design solutions, contribute to and discuss on ICT and engineering problems.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span data-teams=\"true\">Ability to discuss, negotiate and work in international partners.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Preferred Qualifications &amp;
