The successful candidate will co-supervise the company\u2019s R&amp;D unit in the Business Development &amp; Innovation Department in Thessaloniki, Greece, providing strategic leadership for research, development and innovation programs, while ensuring the successful delivery of EU-funded Research &amp; Innovation projects. The successful candidate will perform financial and implementation supervision &amp; delivery, including budget and expenses monitoring (plus timesheets and personnel working hours supervision), while managing the R&amp;D team in the Greek R&amp;D branch towards successful project implementation according to the EU funding rules. To this end, the successful candidate will lead and participate in the project meetings (plenary meetings, conferences, workshops, pilot meetings, demonstration meetings, EU meetings etc), while designing and applying the company R&amp;D strategy in internal and external decision process meetings by leading and planning important tasks like budget management, flawless project development and implementation and R&amp;D outputs market exploitation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<p>- Co-lead and co-supervise the <span lang=\"EN-GB\">Greek R&amp;D branch operations in Business Development &amp; Innovation Department in Thessaloniki, Greece.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span lang=\"EN-GB\">Define, develop, and implement comprehensive R&amp;D strategies aligned with corporate objectives and emerging market opportunities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- Monitor project expenditures, timesheets, personnel working hours and cost types in full compliance with EU funding regulations, while preparing and <span lang=\"EN-GB\">successfully submit the periodic report\/<\/span>financial reports\/cost claims through the EU-funded portals.<\/p>\n<p>- Track and monitor the project implementation tasks and progress towards succesfull objectives and outputs delivery.<\/p>\n<p>- Apply K3Y's R&amp;D <span lang=\"EN-GB\">direction settings, while ensuring strategic alignment and resource optimization.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span lang=\"EN-GB\">Manage and co-supervise team activities, representing the company at project meetings (plenary meetings, conferences, workshops, pilot meetings, demonstration meetings, EU meetings etc).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span lang=\"EN-GB\">Promote a strong culture of innovation giving emphasis in the transition of innovative R&amp;D outputs and solutions to the real market.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- Support company's intellectual property and patent filing process.<\/p>\n<p>- Identify project risks and deviations, implementing timely mitigation measures.<\/p>\n<p>- Ensure full compliance with EU regulations and uphold high quality standards across all research and innovation activities.<\/p>\n<p>- Mentor and develop research staff, supporting talent growth, succession planning, and effective knowledge management.<\/p>\n<p>- Establish, develop, and maintain strategic partnerships with academic institutions, industry stakeholders, and funding bodies.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>- <span lang=\"EN-GB\">Master\u2019s degree or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in computer science, engineering, or related technical field.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span lang=\"EN-GB\">Minimum 2 years of experience in EU-funded R&amp;D projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span lang=\"EN-GB\">Demonstrated experience in preparing and submitting periodic reports.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span lang=\"EN-GB\">Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills in English.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span lang=\"EN-GB\">Ability to work effectively in international, multicultural environments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span lang=\"EN-GB\">Team collaboration and excellent organisation skills.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span lang=\"EN-GB\">Ability to travel frequently abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span lang=\"EN-GB\">Ability to understand, design solutions, contribute to and discuss on ICT and engineering problems.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>- <span lang=\"EN-GB\">Ability to discuss, negotiate and work in international partners.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Preferred Qualifications &amp;
