Both reports intend to provide insights on the challenges of these technologies.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>The case of eSIMs<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>eSIM is the generic term used for the embedded form of a SIM (subscriber identity module) card. Built into the device, the eSIM is hosted on a tiny chip that provide storage for the mobile subscription details in digital format.<\/p>\n<p>The report issued today gives an overview of the eSIM technology, assesses the market potential in Europe and includes security challenges identified and proposed mitigation measures.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>The case of fog and edge computing: the role it plays in 5G<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Fog and edge computing has created new opportunities and novel applications in the 5G ecosystem. However, the telecommunications, cloud and industrial communities need to address multi-modal security challenges.<\/p>\n<p>The report provides an overview of fog and edge technologies in terms of 5G, in relation to their architecture, attributes, and security aspects. The different architectural approaches are also introduced and their applications.
