As a Senior AI Engineer in our R&D Department in Thessaloniki, Greece, you will be actively involved in the design, development, and implementation of AI-driven solutions within the framework of prestigious EU-funded research and innovation projects. You will undertake or lead technical work packages and tasks, contributing to the research, specification, design, development, evaluation, and integration of AI models and systems. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to translate project requirements into innovative AI prototypes and solutions while preparing and delivering high-quality technical deliverables. Additionally, you will participate in internal meetings, project plenaries, technical reviews, workshops, and conferences, and you will contribute to the research exploitation, dissemination, and commercialisation of AI outcomes stemming from EU-funded initiatives.
Rensponsibilities
As a Senior AI Engineer/Researcher at our company, you will be responsible for the following:
Collecting, processing, and interpreting data.
Conducting statistical modeling and data analytics.
Identifying solutions to overcome data analytics challenges.
Implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI) models, including Machine Learning (ML) models, Deep Learning (DL) models, Reinforcement Learning (RL) models and Explainable AI (XAI).
Editing, authoring, and delivering technical reports and deliverables.
Collaborating with computer engineers and researchers.
Planning and coordinating project timelines and milestones.
Monitoring project progress and ensuring adherence to deadlines.
Identifying and managing project risks and issues.
Facilitating cross-functional collaboration among team members.
Participating in technical meetings as a representative of K3Y Ltd.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
Proficient in Python programming.
Advanced knowledge of statistics, multivariable calculus, and linear algebra
Experience with data pre-processing and analysis libraries, such as NumPy and Pandas.
Strong understanding of machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) libraries, such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/Keras, and PyTorch.
Familiarity with data visualization tools like Matplotlib and Seaborn.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Experience with Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe Research and Development (R&D) projects.
Experience with very large datasets, high availability systems, SQL and NoSQL.
Experience with big data analytics technologies, such as Apache Spark and Elastic Stack.
Experience with Reinforcement Learning (RL) techniques.
Knowledge in containerized application development.
Experienced in implementing DevOps and following CI/CD best practices.
