CIPHER Kick-off Meeting

March 12, 2026

We are proud to announce K3Y Ltd’s participation in the successful kick-off meeting of the CIPHER project, held in Bucharest, Romania, on January 22, 2026. The CIPHER Project (Cybersecurity Intelligence, Protection, and Holistic Enterprise Resilience) is a 36-month initiative funded by the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) and implemented by a consortium of 11 expert partners from six EU countries.

The meeting marked a significant milestone and an enthusiastic start to our journey toward strengthening cybersecurity preparedness and resilience across Europe’s critical sectors.

The project was officially launched during the kick-off meeting, bringing together all consortium partners for the first time and initiating their collaboration. During the meeting, partners introduced their organisations, roles, and planned contributions, enabling all participants to gain a shared understanding of the consortium’s expertise and complementarities. Discussions focused on the project’s objectives, main activities, and coordination aspects, helping to align partners on priorities and establish a clear roadmap for the next steps of the project.

The CIPHER project (Cybersecurity Intelligence, Protection, and Holistic Enterprise Resilience) aims to enhance security and information assurance in critical sectors by developing a collaborative, standardized, and “as-a-service” testing facility for cybersecurity strategies and solutions. CIPHER will establish an experimentation laboratory designed to strengthen preparedness through pre-emptive security capabilities. The project will bring together solution providers, essential service operators, and auditors to support the development of effective and compliant security measures aligned with the EU Cybersecurity Strategy for the Digital Decade. Through real-world use cases and financial support to third parties, CIPHER will also enable the validation and broader adoption of its platform.

Represented by our colleague Ioannis Boukas, K3Y Ltd actively contributed to the Kick-Off Meeting with a presentation of its profile and role within the project. As the leader of WP5 on Security Advisory Services, K3Y presented the work package objectives, focusing on AI-driven security recommendations, automated auditing of organisational processes and documentation, and the management of data and knowledge supporting the auditing and recommendation processes.

We’re excited to start this journey and contribute to a more secure and resilient digital future.

Stay tuned for updates as the CIPHER project progresses.
