K3Y Ltd presented a paper at IEEE CSR 2025
K3Y Ltd is proud to share that the paper entitled “Fortified Control-Plane Encapsulation with Session-Key Derivation for Secure IP Mesh Routing” was presented in IEEE International Conference on Cyber Security and Resilience (CSR), that took place from 4th to 6th of August 2025 in Chania, Crete, Greece.
The authors (George Ambonis, Panagiotis Radoglou Grammatikis, Thomas Lagkas, Vasileios Argyriou, Antonios Sarigiannidis, Natasa Kazakli, Thomas Boufikos and Panagiotis Sarigiannidis) tackle a core vulnerability of mesh routing protocols: unprotected control messages that expose networks to forgery, replay, and even “store-now, decrypt-later” quantum threats. Their work enhances OLSR by embedding secure session establishment directly into routing exchanges, ensuring authenticated and resilient neighbor discovery and topology updates.
Conducted within the XTRUST-6G project, this research paves the way for robust, quantum-resistant mesh networking.
The paper is available in IEEE Xplore and ResearchGate.
