The TREEADS project participated in the Wildfire Risk Management (WFRM) Project Clustering Event in Brussels

The TREEADS project was presented by Kemal Sarp Arsava, Project Coordinator, at the Wildfire Risk Management (WFRM) Project Clustering event, which took place on November 22nd at the Royal Library of Belgium, in Brussels.

 

This hybrid event was organised collaboratively by the European Research Ececutive Agency (REA), the Directorate General for Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid (DG ECHO), the Disaster Risk Management Knowledge Centre (DRMKC) of the Joint Research Centre (JRC) and the Firelogue project.

 

The event brought together stakeholders from the scientific community and institutions to address critical issues in wildfire risk management. It was a significant milestone in advancing cooperation among fire-related projects. The clustering event delved into practical advancements, addressing topics like wildfire risk assessments, governance, and the coherence of policies related to managing wildfire risk, including forestry strategies.

 

During the event, the TREEADS oral presentation, titled ‘Common Impact Assessment and Implementing Integrated Wildfire Risk Management’, played a key role in discussing cutting-edge tools and techniques.
