Project Objective
The IRONPLAN project aims to empower the EU with technological independence in developing current and next-generation Command and Control (C2) systems, ultimately creating the first 'smart,' transparent, and verifiable C2 system. This initiative will encompass the integration and extensive use of robotic and autonomous systems (RAS) across all areas of military operations.
To achieve this goal, IRONPLAN will leverage groundbreaking technologies that have emerged from EU-funded civil projects, alongside developing any additional technologies that may be necessary.
The effort to enhance the EU's technological sovereignty will be bolstered by establishing a comprehensive EU-wide supply chain and promoting new cross-border partnerships. The suite of technologies to be created for IRONPLAN will begin at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 3, with the expectation of advancing to TRL 5 by the project's conclusion.
