CoGNETs 3rd Plenary Meeting

Νοέμβριος 3, 2025

We are happy to share that K3Y Ltd successfully participated in the 3rd Plenary Meeting of the CoGNETs project. The event was held at the campus of Avignon University in France, on 7-8 October 2025.

The meeting provided an essential forum for partners to present progress across all work packages, address current challenges, and exchange insights on integration activities. As CoGNETs approaches its halfway point, this milestone enabled the consortium to assess the overall advancement of the project, align strategic priorities, and prepare for the upcoming mid-term review.

K3Y Ltd, represented by our colleagues Georgios Kalitsios and Ioannis Tsingalis, actively contributed to the technical discussions on the progress of the work packages and related deliverables in WP3, WP4, and WP5. Within WP3, K3Y is participating in upcoming technical work on dynamic pruning and object detection, which will further advance the project’s AI capabilities. In WP4, our team was involved in the design and development of the Explainable AI (XAI) component, which aims to improve the interpretability and accountability of deep learning models. Additionally, in WP5, K3Y contributed to the ongoing technical discussions and integration activities. Finally, our team presented the current status and future plans for exploitation and IPR management within the scope of Task 6.3.

CoGNETs aims to reshape intelligent infrastructure management across the IoT–Edge–Cloud continuum. The project focuses on enabling autonomous, dynamic, and secure swarm-based resource management by combining:

- Game-theoretic intelligent agents operating at the edge
- Distributed middleware for swarm-aware orchestration
- Security and resilience mechanisms for collaborative multi-agent environments
- Federated learning techniques that preserve privacy and ensure data sovereignty

Through its innovative approach, CoGNETs goes beyond laboratory concepts by deploying real-world pilots in Manufacturing, Health, and Mobility, demonstrating how cognitive orchestration can enhance performance, trust, and efficiency in critical infrastructure environments.

As the project progresses toward the mid-term review, K3Y Ltd remains committed to contributing to the development and validation of scalable cognitive middleware solutions that drive European digital sovereignty and enable next-generation intelligent service delivery.

Stay tuned for more updates as CoGNETs advances toward its next major milestones.
